The new residential development at Slim Barracks Rise has been named Blossoms By The Park. The condominium features two basement car parks and four strata commercial units totalling approximately 4,306 sq ft on the first storey.
The commercial units flank a public plaza that provides a direct pathway to the park and Buona Vista MRT interchange station (serving the Circle Line and East-West Line). Walking via the shortcut through the park takes just three to five minutes (288 metres) to reach the MRT station.
EL Development appointed ADDP Architects as the project's design architect and Ecoplan Asia as the landscape architect. Ecoplan will also design the adjacent nature park. Upon completion, the park will become a seamless extension of the development's facilities and greenery.
At Blossoms By The Park, communal facilities are situated on the 2nd storey, while residences occupy the 3rd to 27th storeys, with 11 units per floor. The penthouse units feature an impressive ceiling height of up to 4.75 metres, while standard units enjoy generous ceiling heights of 2.75 metres.

When planning the unit mix, the developer took into account the average unit size guideline of 85 sq m (914.9 sq ft) stipulated for the Rest of Central Region (RCR). As a result, the 549 sq ft 1-bedroom + study units, 678 sq ft 2-bedroom units, and 721 sq ft 2-bedroom + study units make up 125 of the 275 units (45.45%).
Including the 3-bedroom dual-key units, the 1- and 2-bedroom configurations effectively increase to 175 units (approx. 63.63%). One- and two-bedroom units move quickly in today's market, appealing strongly to investors thanks to their accessible quantum.

A prime appeal of one-north is its role as a premier business hub. Spanning 200 hectares master-planned by JTC Corp, one-north is home to over 400 multinational corporations, 15 public research institutes, five institutes of higher learning such as INSEAD and ESSEC Business School, as well as corporate campuses including Unilever's global training hub.
It is estimated that one-north accommodates around 50,000 knowledge-based professionals. Other knowledge workers nearby—such as those at National University Hospital (NUH), National University of Singapore (NUS), and Singapore Science Park—similarly desire to live close to their workplaces.
Given the limited supply of new homes in one-north, previous private launches in District 5 have seen strong and resilient demand from both owner-occupiers and investors over the years, supported by healthy rental yields.
Historically, one-north has commanded high rental volumes and solid median rental yields. Compared to certain developments in District 3 (which covers Alexandra, Bukit Merah, Queenstown, and Tiong Bahru), District 5 can achieve competitive and even higher rents.
While one-north is highly appealing to investors, it is equally popular among owner-occupiers. Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents are projected to comprise the majority of buyers at launch.
Owner-occupiers, especially families with school-going children, are drawn to this prime location. Within 1 km are Fairfield Methodist School (Primary and Secondary) and Anglo-Chinese School (Independent). The development is also within a three-minute stroll to Buona Vista MRT interchange station and just five minutes from The Star Vista.
