[New Launch] Sora draws 3,000 visitors over preview weekend

The sales gallery of Sora on Prinsep Street drew 3,000 visitors over its preview weekend (22 to 23 June).
The 440-unit private condominium is developed by a consortium led by SingHaiyi, which includes KSH Holdings and Ho Lee Group, and is located along Yuan Ching Road in the Jurong Lake District. The development boasts a 300m frontage along Jurong Lake Gardens.
The developers noted that the turnout was very encouraging.
Sora is slated for launch on 6 July, with prices starting from $1,850 psf, or just under $1 million for a one-bedroom-plus-study unit. The 99-year leasehold condo offers a wide range of unit configurations, spanning from 538 sq ft for a one-bedroom-plus-study to 1,938 sq ft for a five-bedroom unit.
Beyond the attractive pricing, many visitors were drawn to the Sky 360 roof terrace, which offers panoramic, unblocked views of Jurong Lake Gardens. Spanning 27,500 sq ft, the Sky 360 roof terrace connects across two 12-storey and another pair of 20-storey residential towers.
The project was designed by Singapore’s ADDP Architects, with Ecoplan Asia as the landscape consultant and Nakano Singapore as the main contractor.
Many genuine homebuyers were not deterred by the heavy downpour on Saturday. Many found the entry price of $1,850 psf attractive. The positive response over the weekend demonstrates that demand remains resilient for competitively priced new launches in prime locations within the Outside Central Region (OCR).
The last major new launch in the OCR was the 553-unit Lentor Mansion in March, which moved 75% of its units during its launch weekend. As of 23 June, the project is 81% sold at an average price of $2,268 psf.
With new Executive Condominium (EC) launches crossing $1,500 psf, average prices of $2,100 to $2,200 psf for OCR private residential projects are still viewed by homebuyers as reasonable and accessible.
