MND: Singapore will 'act decisively' to introduce more housing curbs if needed

Singapore will continue to closely monitor both the private and public housing resale markets, following the latest round of cooling measures in August to improve the affordability of public flats.
In a written parliamentary reply on 9 September on whether additional curbs on the private condo market are being considered, the Ministry of National Development wrote that the Government "will not hesitate to take decisive action to ensure prices remain in line with economic fundamentals".
Sales of new private homes in Singapore rose to their highest level since March in July, rebounding from the weakest first half on record. The Government continues to boost private housing supply to address concerns over affordability and rising private property prices.
